World without Honey bee!

One of science’s greatest mysteries because they have remained unchanged for 20 million years, even though the world changed around them. Bee has five eyes, it needs to engage more than 1,000 bees’ whole life and need to fly more than 50 thousand miles to make 1 kg honey; female bees are the workers where male bees even does not know to feed themselves, never sleep in life because they are busy: so they have short spam of life.

How many times a honey bee struck its wings per minute?

Some of us do not like the sound of honeybees: they cry, come near, they go around sugar, they cover the sweet foods, they make disturbed while we are sitting and many more.  However, the simple fact is, if bees do not exist, neither humans being. A world without honey bees would also mean a world without fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.  Nearly one-third of the world’s crops are dependent on honeybees for pollination. But over the last decade the black-and-yellow insects like honey bees have been disappearing at unprecedented rates from the world.  The honeybee’s wings stroke / blow more than 12,000 times per minute, can you believe?

Three importance of Honey Bees: 

  1. Bee for our everyday nutritious food:

Bees are responsible for much of the foods on our plates. They perform task that is vital to the survival of agriculture’s pollination. In fact, one third of our food supply is pollinated by bees, eg. almonds, apples, apricots, avocados, blueberries, coffee, cucumbers, grapes, kiwis, mangoes, okra / ladies finger, pears, strawberries, walnuts, watermelons and so on.

Pesticides, disease, parasites, poor weather and the changing nature of climate are the causes of the declination of honeybees from the world. A lack of bees threatens farmers who depend on these insects for their pollination services. The bottom line is, if something is not done to improve honeybee health, then most of the interesting food we eat is going to be unavailable.  

2: Honey as Medicine:

The collected honey is the most delicious and nutritious food in the world. The honey is a type of medicine for different diseases like cold, weakness, increase activeness and many more. Some of us start the day with honey. It gives energy and positive vibration in our body. It has been using from 4000 years. It prevents cancer and heart disease, reduce ulcers and other gastrointestinal disorders, increase athletic performance, reduces a cough and throat irritation. It is also said to be useful in improving eyesight, weight loss, curing impotence, urinary tract disorders, bronchial asthma, diarrhea, and nausea, strengthen the immune system.

3. Communication and Leadership lesion from bees:

The bees work together for a collective purpose.  Each bee has a purpose for being there and each knows what it is. Team work is important. 

Leadership lesson from bees are: do not focus on short-term goals alone you must plan ahead for future, Effective communication is necessary, Obey the leader (Queen) from heart, never attack each other, Co-operation is the key to success, and Division of labor is the theme of team work. A honey bee teaches us that leader is truly the servant.

In short, most of us like honey, let’s love honey bees, bees are for nutritious food, medicine and communication as well as leadership lesion. Without bees, these crops would cease to exist. Bees are crucial to our existence as well. But the important thing of bee we have to learn is leadership and communication. Let’s make long term goals instead of short term goals. We are here in the world for those skills.
